Hmmmmmm....
to celebrate being another year older or not?
This is an age my younger self could not fathom.....
never really considered it.....
I made a decision to enjoy the moments..without worrying about photos...
but I did manage a few...such as this heart-felt hug
from our Catherine to the darling.....
I am now eligible for Medicare...
how very strange the words.....
but, on the other hand....
how grateful I feel to have arrived.....
Here's to the next chapter and more adventures old girl....
The older I get the faster the birthdays arrive. How can this be?
ReplyDeletetrue statement Terra....time is whirling by....we better make the most of the celebration.
DeleteHappy Birthday, Beautiful You🎈 You are making Medicare eligible look mighty fine!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about that Vee, but I suppose it's important to keep trying...thank you for the wishes...
DeleteHappy Birthday! These can be the Sexy Sixties! You do look great! I'll soon be 69 and I am still trying to wrap my head around not being 'young' anymore. I married young and had children young - at least the first two! I was always the youngest in any group. Then I had two more children in my late 40's and homeschooled them. It was funny that the other mothers in the group were the ages of my grown children and even went to school with them! That began the phase of being the oldest in most groupings. Me my goal is to grow old as gracefully as possible and enjoy the journey. I wish the same for you, my sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteI can say dear Linda...that you are always an inspiration to me. I so enjoy every minute reading about your own adventures and how gracefully and joyfully you sail through good times and some challanges. Thank you for the wishes.
DeleteHAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR FRIEND!! Hope they treated you like a queen and made you eat cake and ice cream all day long. You deserve a special day no matter what the year is!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Janey. It's a bit of an adjustment.....probably just a frame of mind so let's all make the most of this thing called life. Have a great week love.
Delete"Happy Birthday, Betsy." I hope you had a fabulous day. Life certainly is moving fast. I think we are the same age.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb...how I LOVE that we are the same age...you are so lovely and always so loving and graceful....my Candian sister/friend. Hope you have a fantastic week.
DeleteHappy birthday to you, Betsy! Froom one July birthday girl to another! It looks like you went out for a lovely dinner. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenn...it was a great evening with family. Have a lovely week and thank you so much for the wishes.
DeleteHappy Birthday Betsy! You certainly don't look like you're 65! It looks like you enjoyed your special day with your sweetie and family. You'll have to let us younger ones know how that whole Medicare thing works out. It seems a bit daunting, making sure one is signing up for the right coverage and at the right time. I'll be 59 next month, and as fast as these years are flying by, I'll be right there with you before I know it! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThen an early happy birthday to you Miss Connie...we will not need Medicare until the darling retires and I will tell you it will be far more expensive than our current group insurance..it is a maze like no other. But those issues are for another day and in the future...enjoy your week love.
DeleteHappy Birthday to you. I hope you had a wonderful celebration. Thank you for always inspiring us. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Stacey...appreciate your visit. I so hope you are loving your new home.
DeleteHappy happy birthday to you. It is after all just a number until you try something and it takes twice as long then the number kicks in.lol. It's laughter, fun and gratefulness that keeps us moving forward. I feel we have earned it, so keep on moving and seize every pleasure. I wish for you many many more
ReplyDeleteOh dear Patricia...aren't you a love! Thank you for such lovely birthday wishes. More adventures to enjoy is certainly a gift.
DeleteHappy Birthday, dear Betsy. I know you will enjoy every moment of life! I am a couple years older than you and I must say you look marvelous! As "they" say---Enjoy getting older, it is a gift not given to all. ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you ever so much Martha Ellen...we all need to remember what a gift a birthday is....I seem to adjust to aging the day after....let's all enjoy the cake and ice cream right? Warm hugs.
