Hoping your holidays find you in the company of those you love.
"The snow had begun in the gloaming, And busily all the night Had been heaping field and highway With a silence deep and white. Every pine and fir and hemlock Wore ermine too dear for an earl, And the poorest twig on the elm-tree Was ridged inch-deep with pearl."
One of our family favorites at Christmas!
Cranberries in the Snow
1 package raw cranberries
3/4 cup water
1 (6-ounce) box cherry flavored gelatin
2 cups sugar
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup crushed pineapple, well drained
Chopped pecans
1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped
Can't wait to try this out over Christmas...this will be the "required Jello salad" that is a must on Midwest tables! I think I have my shopping almost done. Now onto planning and gathering up for the holiday meals!
