CHAI CIDER....HELLO NEW YEAR

Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

The New Year's Eve was rather quiet and uneventful...
I was talking with the young gentleman taking my groceries
to the car and asked him if he stayed up until midnight to watch
the ball drop in Times Square! He replied , NO, he always
fell asleep, but if he was playing video games, he had no problem
staying up past midnight! I told him I enjoyed the days when
Dick Clark hosted the NYC New Years Eve celebration and alas,
he had never heard of Dick Clark.....big sigh.......

I gave this gorgeous Rockefeller Center puzzle
to the darling for Christmas, and they finished
it in about four days....

I thought it was perfect for the season.....

It brought back my memories of being in Times Square
in December with my parents!

I sent the family off to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas
for the Winter Classic.....

This group loves their Dallas Stars Hockey......

What a great way to spend their last day of the holiday
before flying back to California.....

While they were celebrating with about 87,000 other people,
I made a lovely pot of hot tea.......
Chai Cider. With apple, pear, cinnamon, and chai flavors,

Warms the soul.....a lovely way to start a new year.....

  1. Oh that sounds like a lovely tea. He had never heard of Dick Clark? New Year’s Eve hasn’t be the same for me since Guy Lombardo departed. Loved those ballroom scenes with the beautiful gowns. Ahhh...nothing stays the same. Happy 2020...you look pretty jazzy in those glasses!

  2. Happy New Year to all of you. Your family enjoys being together at all times. I love that. It's the best of times. The tea sounds so good. We had a coffee shop in town once that used to serve chai teas. I miss that fellow. Dick Clark, how soon they forget the great ones. LOL. We used to call him the world's oldest teenager. I still remember Bandstand. Love the new header photos. Your family are the Olympic team of puzzles. LOL Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie

  3. I loved Dick Clark! Yes, young people don’t know about the ones we remember!
Your tea looks delicious! I may brew me up some and light the fire in the den. I’m on the tail end of getting all of Christmas out and then I will spend the weekend cleaning. Haven’t been this early getting it all down and packed away in years and years!
