Wouldn't you love to be treated
to a special morning brunch on MOTHER'S Day.
We all love an easy hearty breakfast casserole
from time to time and THIS one is divine.
Everyone loved it when I served this for brunch
last week so I am so happy to share this with you.
I think the Dijon mustard adds such flavor,
along with the two cheese combination.
Hope y'all enjoy this one.
This recipe is a time saver also, compared to others
SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE
1 tube of crescent rolls
2 T. Grey Poupon mustard
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 pound of bulk sausage, browned and crumbled
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Spray an 8' x 11' casserole with cooking spray.
Line the baking dish with the unrolled crescent dough.
Brush with mustard.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 minutes.
Layer with 1/2 cup cheddar and 1/2 cup mozzarella and browned sausage.
Combine the eggs and milk and beat until frothy.
Pour evenly over the sausage.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup cheddar and 1/3 cup mozzarella over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Estelle's savory tip....this is Texas...
we like to spice it up a notch....
add Tabasco or warm Salsa over your portion if desired!
Yummy, and what Mother would not just love to be served breakfast on her special day! Hope you have a blessed week and a great Mothers Day dear Estelle!

I cooked big breakfasts all last week at the camper. LD has been working hard and needed 3 meals a day for energy! We're going back soon and I'll be taking this recipe with me! You make the best things!
