FALL BAKING AND BRINGING AUTUMN VIBES INTO OUR HOME

 Good Morning Kindred Spirits....
When I awoke this morning, I noticed the trees
were swaying n the wind...a cold front came through
overnight, which means Fall is almost here.....
And I could wait no longer to begin the creative process
of dressing our home for the season...it's such a happy time!



I decided this year to simply 
add to decor pieces that have their place.
rather than move them and have to store them somewhere else....
and it's working out beautifully....
the beauty of sunflowers is that they work so well
for both summer and autumn....

I certainly have been loving a deep green for the kitchen this year...
a small vignette for a few of my favorite cookbooks...

The Divine Miss M gifted me this beautiful soft throw
for my birthday and it became impossible not to
place this on my grandparents windsor chair....a place of honor...

One afternoon, I decided to dress up the lanterns

Football pre season is underway, and hot beignet's came to mind...

If you  cannot go to Cafe Du Monde', you can bring

their french doughnuts to you.....

And I am on a kick to bake homemade bread....

turns out perfect everytime...so good with butter and jam

And, I tried a new recipe for Custard Pie, which was Mother's favorite..
I am now a believer in using heavy cream rather than milk...divine I tell you!

I can sense a change in the air.....

I do so hope your days are productive and happy..

remember to enjoy a few hours outdoors

and calm your mind in nature.....
