Hello kindred spirits… let’s take a look at the summer gardens this morning but before we do, I have a question for you! Who inspired you to have a love for gardening? For me, my inspiration came from my mother and both of my grandmothers, Grace and Estelle! They loved to create and nurture beautiful plants for all four seasons and they were all knowledgeable and successful at being rewarded with their yard of the month wins! I owe any success I have to them!

keeping it for a fall arrangement....
I focus on bright colors for pleasing the eye
that will evoke a sense of peace and harmony

I used to have a row of those bright yellow flowers in the front of our old house. They came alive at a certain time of day. Your blackberry cobbler looks scrumptious. All your flowers are blooming nicely this summer. I love that lantana, and I heard it attracts the hummers. ; )

It's looking lovely at your place. I made apeach cobbler Friday using a jar of peaches from Terrell, Texas. A friend was given several jars and she gifted one to me. The peaches were super sweet and the cobbler was excellent. I added some fresh blackberries to it and then topped the baked cobbler with whipped cream! SO good!
ReplyDeleteNow you've given me inspiration to do a garden photo shoot! We've just finished re landscaping our gardens at the lake house. The last flood (and deer) took the last of everything I've had planted there for 29 yrs so we bit the bullet and called the landscaper to redo the beds and replant privacy fence jasmine and roses all around the pool. I've been working so hard to get flower beds replanted. I'm trying drift roses this time.....50 two gallon ones!! And like you, my inspiration all came from my mom! Funny....I made grape jelly today with juice from my son's grapes and blackberry jam from his blackberries!! His plants went crazy this yr so we've been eating blackberry cobblers for a few weeks!! My boyfriend's garden is beyond full ... I think he's fed half our town with the stuff we can't eat!!
