Good Morning Loves....
I hope this finds you happy and feeling good this April morning!
The weather has been gorgeous here in Texas, minus
an evening of thunderstorms, which is expected during
our spring months.
It's time to spruce up the yard, flower beds and patio for
the upcoming days.....
Today, as I write this post, our son is celebrating
a birthday....we are celebrating as a family Saturday
and will be meeting him for dinner tonight...
he is in town for work and finding a new home
back here in Texas so it's a very packed schedule in the
few days he is home.
I have a trip to Costco planned for our menu on Saturday...
should be a fun time!
I have bought many a birthday cake from Costco,
just in case you didn't know how wonderful their bakery is!
five years ago...and it's thriving through winter.....
I love seeing something I planted grow well.....
I consider it a gift of sorts.....
God shows us his love in many ways you know....
wind chimes softly making their note sounds when the wind blows....
it's so peaceful.......
and today, it was the Mississippi Chicken Soup......
great if you were feeling a bit under the weather....
I will say, it's pretty delicious.....
a vintage pear salad.....
Mother used to make this often....absolutely delicious!!!!!
I love her to the moon and back.....
Over in Atlanta, Miss M packed up the family,
including Piper Rose and off they
went to a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains
for Spring Break ......
and relaxing on the porch.....
Isn't Easter a lovely time to celebrate
all the goodness in life....
Loved your visit today......take good care!
Happy birthday and house hunting to your son. I love the flowers of spring. Their beauty is short lived, but lift one's spirits. My goodness Luke is growing up. My sweet grandgirl Emma is graduating this May. I find myself wondering where all those years went. Can not get enough of hugging our grands while they are small. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful happenings over at your place! You have the same dishes my Amber uses.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking about the menu for Easter Sunday. Normally I host a Good Friday gathering but this year it will be on Easter as requested by my oldest grandchild. He is working on Friday and doesn't want to miss the family celebration. Be still, my heart!
I don't want to serve ham....again. Soup doesn't do the occasion justice and I want something easy to prepare ahead and serve as soon as we get home from church. Thumbing through cookbooks.....and am watching to see what YOU are serving!
Oh he's coming home for good? Perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's vacation looks wonderful.
Happy birthday to the prettiest kitty in Blogdom. ☺️

ReplyDeleteSpring is so nice this yr…cuz you know a lot of times, we go straight from cold winter to hot summer. Read this the other day: how can one not believe in the Resurrection when all around us is the resurrection of spring flowers from the ground…and He made it all possible???? Just gave me another visual to thank Him when I see the glorious fleurs!!!! Happy Holy Week!!!
