CHRISTMAS TIME....FESTIVE GIFTS, BAKING COOKIES AND A COZY SEASIDE MYSTERY

Hello Loves.....
It's time for us to share the magic of the Christmas season....
We welcome the month of December!

With all of my time spent at home this year,
it has certainly given me all the time needed to
downsize, organize and decorate.
I have been ahead of the game with the holidays...
going from Spring and Easter, to Summer dΓ©cor,
transitioning to the glorious Fall and now....Christmas!
The gift shopping is completed and I am in the process
of wrapping the presents.

The best gift of all will be receiving a visit from
our Atlanta family.....they will be self-isolating
for the month leading up to the drive down to Texas
for Christmas.....it's been far too long since we have laid eyes
on them. I feel Luke the Duke has changed SO MUCH since
we saw him last...growing from a little boy to almost a teenager!!!!
So, this gives me great pleasure to have Christmas merriment
all throughout our home!

Luke and I will be making Reindeer Cupcakes
on Christmas Eve....I always plan an activity with
our grandchildren on Christmas!!!

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies from
Brenda Gantt...
Miss Brenda runs a Bed and Breakfast down
in Andalusia, Alabama and has become a Facebook
celebrity with her cooking videos...just love her!

The Santa's are all throughout the house...
and....I so love and enjoy each and everyone of them..
I hope others do as well!

I mostly read Biographies and Autobiographies,
but there are a few authors of fiction I love!
I have recently discovered Sally Goldenbaum,
who writes a series of Seaside Knitter's Mysteries....
oh these books are divine.....
So now our chilled Chardonnay in the garden succumbs to crimson
cabernet before the fire.......
how heavenly it is to cozy up with a good mystery
and imagine the small New England towns at Christmas.......

  1. Betsy, Whenever I see your beautiful decor, I always imagine the wonderful smells of baking and scented candles to go along with it all. I know you are going to be so happy to see your Atlanta family at Christmas time. So good of them to stay safe for their visit with you and your husband. I love those little square dishes. You know I love the napkins. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
