FINALLY...I'm declaring this the beginning of Spring....
good-bye old man winter.....be gone with ye.........
I was in the worst end of winter slump....
I had to pull myself out of that mood and move forward
to thoughts of warm days and spring decorating!
My first inspiration was the Spring edition of The Cottage Journal....
just the cover alone provided me an idea for my little work station
in the kitchen....
I love jadeite sooooo much..it reminds me of Grandmother Grace.....
I wanted to use shades of green which I find beautiful for spring.....
I then came across this adorable little bunny art which was
just the cottage style and color for this vignette!
This is just my style...it's cottage chic, soft colors and
lifts the spirit with thoughts of Easter....a renewal....
"There is one good thing about this world.....
there are always sure to be more springs."

I truly enjoyed this post. I too am so ready for spring green. I loved looking at each new picture in the header. Your wonderful dishes, are so pretty. My aunt Helen had many jadeite pieces. Relax with your new Cottage Journal. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeleteI have gotten into a winter slump too. Maybe with the longer days I will begin to get more energy to make my house look spring like. Thanks for the inspiration. I like jadeite although I don't have any.

DeleteI adore your little vignettes. No matter what season we are in, you always come up with something cozy and warm. I love your Spring! The bunny art work, the jadeite, the warm glow from your little lamp.
ReplyDeleteYou are a sweetheart! So happy for your visit today and kind comments! Blessings for a great week ahead💗
DeleteHi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your Jadeite!! I don't own any, but I certainly think it's pretty! I'll have to keep a lookout for a piece here or there. :) I have that same magazine issue; my sweet mom gifts me with a subscription every year. I LOVE that spring cover -- was so excited when it arrived in the mailbox. Your vignette is lovely and so perfect for spring! I really like your work area -- such a nice space to have.
We, too, are ready for spring around here. We've had SO much rain (along with the rest of the world, it seems). Yesterday, the sun shone here in a beautiful blue sky, so we took off for a little outing. So looking forward to the time change next weekend. I think the extra daylight will do us all a world of good, don't you?
Mae Mobley looks so cute! My mom got a new kitten and has named her Zoe. She's a little orange tabby and such a rascal. ;D Have a lovely day, Betsy!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor

DeleteI've read that March 1st is meteorological spring so I'm going with that! I bought a new plant for the house, I'm diffusing spring scents in my diffuser, and I'm lightening up the decor!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Sounds simply wonderful Deanna.....I think we are all in a spring frame of mind....what scents do you like for this season? Enjoy your week!
