Oh honey....this is amazing.....LOVE IT!

one box Spice Cake Mix
One can of Pumpkin
and Chocolate Chips
Off to a concert in Dallas with friends......
Take Four.....
we have seen each one of them...A STAR IS BORN
and
THIS is thus far, my all time favorite!!!
Everyone, I mean everyone gave a fabulous performance!
We talked about going to see the Streisand/Kristofferson version
back in 1976 and remembered that one being a rather tedious movie...
not my favorite since I felt Kristofferson was a misfit casting lead.
I could listen to Lady Gaga all day long belt out those heartfelt songs....
We each gave this one FIVE STARS....
This is what I am currently reading and loving.....
what an interesting and amazing life story!
I highly recommend this one!
Miss Abbie was home from college to attend
a camp out birthday gathering.....
Happy Sweet Sixteen to grandson Noah!
Miss M and Luke went off camping
in the Blue Ridge Mountains with friends....
oh to be a kid again, right?
Y'all have a great week!
Betsy, I am making those muffins. :) Your son favors you . So good looking. He looks like he's thinking, "ok mom take one picture.":):) I did not like Kristofferson with Streisand. I will have to see this new version of A Star Is Born. Oh yes, to be a carefree kid would be heavenly . Luke seems to be enjoying the water with friends. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI think you will really enjoy the movie Susie...Bradley Cooper wrote the screenplay and directed this one! He is SO talented. Streisand was terrific in all her movies, don't you think? Hope you have a delightful week!
DeleteLove the sound of the muffins do you just follow the cake mix recipe along with the can of pumpkin thrown in?
ReplyDeleteHi Cathrin...you simply combine one can of pumpkin with the dry cake mix. Blend together and add about 1 cup of chocolate chips. Bake in muffin tins at 350 F. for about 15-20 minutes. You can use Spice, Yellow, white or even chocolate cake mix! Hope you enjoy!
DeleteFirst off- Miss Abbie is just gorgeous--fresh-faced and has that All-American girl look! Happy Birthday to Noah, too.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to see the remake of A Star Is Born. I did like the Streisand version but will believe you that this one is better! Also waiting for Book Club to hit Netflix or Amazon Prime. lol
I need to try some of those 3 ingredient cookies.
Have a blessed Sunday- xo Diana
Why thank you Diana...she is a natural beauty and so, so sweet. I hope you get to see the movie...it kept you emotional for sure! I could not watch more than 10 minutes of Book Club...it was a silly script made for aging actors...my daughter felt the same...however, everyone is different and you may enjoy it....hope your move is settled and y'all are have a good fall season!
Deleteok. one minute.....tell more about that tea plz! whered you get the tazo and just bottled lemonade??
ReplyDeleteand the muffins....OH MY!!!! just those 3 ingredients? making this week for sure!!!

Hi there Janey....you can find the TAZO tea just about anywhere...I mixed this with Country Time...it's just wonderful! The music in this version is just great...and Bradley Cooper CAN sing!!! Hope you have a wonderful week!
DeleteWhat a lovely post, so filled with autumn flavor and family fun. I want to make your muffins. Did you make the cake mix as directed before adding the pumpkin and chips? Small one pie size can? It really sound great . . . I love warm muffins . . . cold ones, too. LOL
ReplyDeleteKeep Smiling.
Connie :)
Hi Connie...just 3 ingredients....mix cake mix with one can pumpkin...fold in chips..bake at 350 F in muffin tins for about 18 minutes. Enjoy!
DeleteIt’s always good to catch up with the kids and grands. Looks as if everyone knows how to enjoy life! Boy am I glad that I don’t have a spice cake mix because I’m alone after afternoon company and baking would not be a good thing. The tea looks delish, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Vee...look forward to see what's going on in your world for fall..have a lovely week!
DeleteI know the Kristofferson/Streisand movie was a reboot of a much earlier version from 1954 starring Judy Garland and James Mason. I, too, was quite taken with this latest incarnation, Gaga was amazing, enough said. However, as a "youngster" back in '76 I was quite enamored with Kris Kristofferson and saw that movie countless times. And, bought the soundtrack! I didn't think in this current film that Gaga and Cooper had the onscreen chemistry that was evident in the one from my youth. I love Cooper and his directing was superb, but I didn't feel theirs was so much a love story. I thought she married him in part to try and save him, to get him on a better path. And, because he believed in her and jump started her career. Maybe I'll watch it again! (Was leery of seeing "El Royale", but after reading how much you liked it, I will definitely give it a shot.)
