We talked about it.......Miss M and I.....
she asked me if I had seen THE CAKE STAND....and OH YES....
I had seen it and loved it.......she loved it too...
so I said I want to buy one for you!
And so I did......
Then I flew home and purchased one for myself.....
I love coconut cake but haven't had one in many years. Your cake stand is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy..isn't it just fun to have things you love! Hope you are loving the Spring season!
DeleteI love cake stands too. I keep buying them even though I already have too many!
ReplyDeleteHi there Angela...me too....I adore cake stands!!! Happy Spring love!
DeleteYour new cake stand is beautiful. I love how you've styled it. It will be stunning with that Coconut Cake inside, too. Quick question: do you actually use shortening in the cake recipe or do you use butter or oil instead? I need an expert's (you!) advice on which is best. Thank you. BTW, I love the gallery wall in your daughter's kitchen. That look is exactly what I need on one of my walls so I will use the layout for inspiration. I've always liked the look of a gallery design, but they can be tricky to get just right. Thanks for the photo. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteIn this recipe....it is best to use shortening...butter flavored Crisco is what I use..makes for a very moist and delicious cake....hope you love it as much as we do..warm hugs!
DeleteI hadn't see that cake stand. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteI love that cookbook and Come On Over! Just one more thing we have in common! LOL! xoxo
