I must be old...officially OLD!
We have enjoyed gorgeous fall weather here
in the great state of Texas this week....cool, breezy....
the leaves are falling and the temps are in the 60's!
I decided to sip on hot cocoa in the afternoon
and I am going to let you know....
this is a NEW FAVORITE!
Y'all need to pick this up on your next grocery haul...
Swiss Miss Peppermint Hot Cocoa....for the Keurig!
Oh honey....this is heaven in a mug!
The party is fast approaching and it's going to be 59 degrees for a high
and 35 degrees for the low....I sure hope the firepit is going strong!
I am taking a sweet and a savory dish to share.....
Cheryl's Buttercreams for Halloween
and
my most requested Hot Queso Blanco Sausage Dip!
We have bought Cheryl's cookies for many special occasions....
they are sooooooo good!
Now...here's a sneak peek of part of my costume.....can you guess who
I will transform into on Saturday night...oy vey...I hope I don't embarrass myself!
Honey, if you are old, well so am I!! Love these cooler temps in Kansas too..had to fire up the furnace this morning. Do I see a "Flapper" in the making? :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Jacquie! Don't you love it when the day arrives that you can turn the thermostat up? I certainly do.....happy fall! I can give you a hint there is a little dalmation associated with my costume! Have a great weekend love!
DeleteCute post, Betsy. 35 degrees in Texas? Yikes! I'm sure the party will be a big hit!
ReplyDeleteI needed a cup of hot cocoa to warm old bones....I just know fall is gorgeous right now in Massachusetts...I'm still dreaming about your train trip into NYC! Please let me tag along next time! Have a lovely weekend Katie!
DeleteMaybe Corella DeVille? Spell check please. LOL. Our Emma truly loves hot chocolate so much...she drinks it year round. I miss making her French toast and cocoa. The cookies are so cute, buttercream makes me think they are tasty too. Blessings for a fun time party.
ReplyDeleteHi Susie....you may want to try the hot cocoa with peppermint...it's marvelous! I know it will be fun party since the kiddos will be there....Cruella Deville will be appearing!

I hope you make the mister pose too. do you know his costume or is it a secret to even you? LOL!
I love peppermint cocoa... keeps it from being too sweet. but I got mine at cracker barrel...
in a tin! now I want a cup. :)
That hot cocoa sounds delicious! We are still in our camper tonight and I have a packet or two of Swiss Miss Cocoa. I think I will make that for a mid morning (or noonish) drink. I used to buy extras of the small candy canes at Christmas and use them in hot chocolate all winter long.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your party - you will be a smash hit! We are going to Muskogee, Oklahoma to visit some of Louis Dean's family. They said to bring a coat! It's going to be COLD!! I can't wait!
Embarrass yourself? I am certain that you will be beautiful in your ruby shoes. I will look for the hot chocolate for the Keurig.
