These are MY GUYS!
Well, two of them anyway....
The Papa and the baby (or shall we say the youngest).
They have started a new tradition which
is attending the Texas A&M/Ole Miss game!
Last weekend they spent a nostalgic day
down in College Station and I will say,
our Aggie gave his Dad quite a workout
walking all over the campus!
They had a ball and I am thrilled they spent the weekend together!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Just look at this gorgeous blue sky and
our beautiful maple tree!
It's the only fall color I see at the moment!
But it certainly does have the WOW factor!
I am loving every minute of Autumn aren't you?
The Four O'Clocks are still in bloom!
I adore this vivid pink!
Y'all come on in and see what's going on at Estelle's today!
What a perfect afternoon to bake something
that the darling just loves....
Gingerbread with Lemon Sauce!
I have a beautiful new baking pan I am trying out...
I'll post pics if they turn out well!
There is something very nostalgic
about decorating for Thanksgiving.
I have had these little pilgrims
for about thirty years now.
They came from the Gooseberry Patch
catalog which they discontinued some time ago.
I certainly do miss those catalogs!
Everyone will have a bit of whimsy in their view.
The children used to love playing with these
when they were little.
I miss those times.......
What is it about Pheasants that are so beautiful
for Thanksgiving Day...just lovely colors......
I decided to change out the throw
on Granddaddy's Windsor chair...then
added a few velvet pumpkins...love it!
What fun things are YOU doing today?
Discover something that brings you happiness....
and
have you been watching the MOON this week...
Bellissimo!!!
Beautiful snippets ♥ Happy Tuesday ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I have a head cold so I am moving slowly through this day. I am beginning to take fall down and it is bittersweet. I can't wait to put it up each year and feel a bit melancholy when I start to take it down. Soon I will open the Christmas House ( former children's play house turned lawn house turned Christmas storage) and I'm sure I will be smiling at seeing all my treasures in there once again!
ReplyDeleteI dearly love your velvet pumpkins!!! Are those silver stems on a couple?
Colds are no fun at all! I would love for you to show more of your fall decor...you have such cute and interesting collections! Taking it down so soon? We have a few more weeks to go! The stems are a bit of a white wash but perhaps photograph silver! I certainly have enjoyed them! Hope you feel better soon! Hugs!
DeleteHappy Fall to you. The place looks stunning!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying a lovely fall season Latane! So glad you stopped by today!
DeleteOooh I love that cushion!! You have so many lovely decorative pieces. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteAll of your Thanksgiving decor is so pretty, Betsy. It's always fun to see how you display your pretties. The throw on the chair with the velvet pumpkins and the lovely pillow caught my attention--lovely. Have a nice evening. ♥
ReplyDeleteI love your pilgrims! I'm certain that your family will be having a wonderful Thanksgiving together.
ReplyDeleteI love when fathers and sons share time together, especially after the sons are grown. My oldest and my husband just went out for a bite to eat and conversation the other night.
We've had the loveliest autumn. Your tree is beautiful.
Oh that moon! It has been spectacular. Wonderful that Dad and Son had a good time together...fun times! I, too, love the Pilgrims. I have been trying to find some that I really like for years. Hobby Lobby has some this year, but they are not perfect. Perhaps that is my problem. I need to give up on "perfect."
