I have wanted to try this recipe for some time now
and
I am SO glad I finally did!
It is divine!
I always try to introduce a new recipe
onto the holiday table and these apple brownies
are going to be a marvelous sweet treat
for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
They are easy to mix up
and
would be perfect in the afternoon
with tea or coffee.
APPLE
BLONDIES
1
cup flour
1
cup white sugar
1
egg
1
large granny smith apple - peeled, cored and chopped
1/4
cup chopped pecans
1/2
cup butter, melted
1/4
teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon baking powder
1
teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2
teaspoon baking soda
Preheat
oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9” x 9” baking
dish.
In
a large bowl, beat together the melted butter, sugar, and egg until fluffy.
Fold in the apples and walnuts. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour,
salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Stir the flour mixture into the
wet mixture until just blended. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking
dish.
Bake
3o minutes in the preheated oven. Do not overbake. Lovely when served warm.
Now that warms my heart--I love Blondies and with apples added, how ingenious! Happy Thanksgiving, XOXO
ReplyDeleteApples and cinnamon are the right combination for a wonderful aroma while baking. Better than candles. ;):) Yum, looks like a nice breakfast treat. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteYum...I don't know, I had such a disaster in the kitchen yesterday baking that I may get my baked goods from the bakery from now on. Still, this looks tempting.
ReplyDeleteOh my, these look irresistible. Thank you for the recipe.
