This is one of our all time favorite meals to prepare
on a Saturday night!
I can tell you I have served this dinner on many, many occasions!
There is almost nothing better than fresh Gulf shrimp
prepared with spicy seasonings, fresh lemons and garlic!
Be sure to serve these shrimp with hot french bread
so that you can "sop" up all that delicious marinade!
ESTELLE'S BEST BARBECUED SHRIMP
~Adapted from
The Ultimate Southern Living Cookbook
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup Zesty Italian dressing
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. Lemon Pepper seasoning
1 T. black pepper
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 bay leaves
2 lemons, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
3 lbs. fresh unpeeled large shrimp
Melt butter in roasting pan. Add Italian dressing and next 8 ingredients.
Stir all together.
Add shrimp and toss to coat.
Bake, uncovered at 400 degrees F. until shrimp turn pink,
about 20 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Discard bay leaves before serving.
