Do you love starting the year off with fresh inspiration?
I am on a mission to obtain a French Country look in our kitchen!
Miss M and I have been talking about a new wreath for the front door and
have yet to decide on a design!
I am thinking of creating one similar but hanging it on the pantry door!
Sounds like a good reason to go to Michael's!
I can totally see this kitchen in a cape style home!
What a fabulous design!
This kitchen alone would have sold the house to me!
NOW.....this could not be more stunning!
Sunflowers are so often used in French Country, as is yellow ware!
Although absolutely breathtaking, it's a little too big for me!
An absolute favorite nook and cranny!
Architectural Digest is always a good reference for beautiful inspiration!
This is perfect....wouldn't change a thing!
This would be the kitchen I would choose!
Don't you just love bench seating in the kitchen!
It's also so much more interesting to incorporate mismatched chairs!
A very intimate dining nook! Elegant, yet warm!
This kitchen reminded me so very much of Miss Becky's kitchen in her beautiful log cabin.
I have referenced Miss Becky in previous posts!
Her husband was in charge of the Jackson Symphony and
Miss Becky was one of my mother's best friends!
They had a huge French Country kitchen very similar to this one!
Love it all, especially the mix of organic fabrics!
I have been a huge fan of Nell Hill for years! This is one of her designs!
This is straight out of a Mississippi home in the Belhaven district!
I had a good friend at the age of thirteen whose home was in this area.
We often met at his home, with a few other friends and
his Mother (an elegant Southern Belle)
served us pound cake and sweet iced tea!
I was in heaven!
A lovely use of color!
It's calming, don't you think?
Who wouldn't be happy at the breakfast bar!
Pure Charm!
Our foyer in our first Texas home had wallpaper very similar to this!
It's always good to think outside the box of the norm....like the round copper sink!
A fabulous kitchen to just hang out and have a glass of wine!
I so hope you enjoyed this inspiration!
hhhhhmmmmm... somehow, I got signed out of my blog!!!!! whatttttttt????
ReplyDeleteanyway I try to post again. love the 6th pic down, that kitchen....
We can dream a little dream...hope you enjoyed the inspiration Tessa!
DeleteOOOH! Gorgeous kitchens. Now I pinned that wreath - it's glorious too. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Hope you're doing well today.
ReplyDeletebe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
My daughter and I loved the wreath inspiration also Shelia...going to try and make one similar! Kuddos to the creator! Hope you have enjoyed your weekend!
DeleteSo many beautiful kitchens! I would choose the 8th photo except I'm not sure I would want wallpaper on my ceiling. Love the warm wood, the window treatments and the chickens!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you enjoyed this Cheryl! I so appreciate your visit today! Big hugs!
DeleteThe second photo of kitchen would be my absolute dream kitchen. Our current house has tile and fruit basket in stone relief(I think the correct description) behind the stove, cream colored cabinets and gray granite countertop. One of the main reasons, I love this house. French Country is my ultimate goal for every room. The Nell Hill design is beautiful. I love, love, love the silver, crystal, compotes(I have the exact one). I am blessed to have family heirloom wood chest, tables and secretary. I use the same techniques. VIVA LA FRANCE!
