WARM APPLE COMPOTE
3 apples, peeled and cubed
1/8 cup raisins
1/8 cup raisins
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground Cloves
1 teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Salt
To make the Apple Compote,
add the apples, raisins. granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg,
and salt to a medium sized saucepan and cook, stirring often, until the apples
are tender and it has a jam-like consistency. Take one-half of the
apple compote and blend in a blender until a smaller, yet chunky consistency.
Add this mixture back into the remaining half of the compote still in the
saucepan. Allow to cool slightly. Ready to spoon onto hot biscuits!
