SWEET ALABAMA PECAN BREAD

 


Hello Loves....
have I got a special treat for y'all today!
I don't know why I am just now discovering this gem
of a recipe, but am I ever so glad I did!
This is a fabulous treat which I would compare
to a divine moist, chewy Blondie Bar!
I added this one to my list of all time favorites,
and I'm sure you will too!

SWEET ALABAMA PECAN BREAD

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup oil
1 1/2 cup Self-Rising flour
1 t. vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Stir together the sugar, brown sugar, eggs and oil
in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Stir in flour and vanilla. Add pecans and stir until evenly blended.
Spoon into prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
Do not overbake..

    Yum, this sweet pecan bread looks and sounds wonderful!!! I've already pinned it. :D I love your pretty baking dish with the look of fall about it. Mae looks quite regal, as always; she could be the queen's sister. ;)

    This looks so delicious. Tomorrow is baking day! I wish I could have a cat, but I'm allergic. My son, dil, and just a week old granddaughter have a beautiful Siamese who just loves me! I love him, too!

  5. those look absolutely delicious! wish I could eat that much sugar now. (diabetes) but alas... must admire from afar. but I remember that fabulous flavor. I used to make one similar called Tom Thumb Bars as I recall! those were the days.
    but I love the little Autumn touches... that adorable Home plate... and Miss Mae!
    seeing her in the tiny video! and with the brush! oh Betsy. and hearing the water and the leaves in the trees.

  7. Oh Betsy!!!!! you have just brought back the sweetest memory for me..my mother in law used to make this and I remember relishing not only the taste but the smell of the house when she made it. I'm going to make for my husband this weekend...thank you!!
    and where oh where did you find that plate above???? THAT is precious. You always find the cutest stuff!!
