GOOD MORNING KINDRED SPIRITS
AND LOVERS OF THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!
Welcome back to Estelle's
honey buns....I was in a quandary....
I had no idea on what I wanted our
Christmas home to look like and
we are already preparing for Thanksgiving....
why oh why, was I in this slump of no defined
color scheme or ideas on decorations.....
The few things I knew I wanted
was to incorporate my little owls on the tree....
Well, I need look no further for inspiration
than a few years past for ideas.....
I found my colors and my theme when I selected this tree skirt....
Yes...this is the look I am drawn to for this year..
now I'm excited...let's go make some merry......
It's funny how your tastes change over the course of time.....
and it can prove to make life an interesting journey..
I think I am loving the warm and moody woodland
holiday vibe this gives to the tree....
I feel contentment with these colors....
These are particular favorites I want to use again
this year....
I was very happy with this look for the dining room....
Holiday foods I want to make again....
a few of my favorites....continuing with that lovely green...
I can't wait to display these gorgeous pillows....
These holiday pillow were all purchased from Target...
And, also a few others.....perhaps a pop of red to be included....
And...my little woodland Santa to
be featured on the mantel....
all cozy and festive....
vintage holiday plates.....
I feel so much better....
it's in my mind, along with
vision of sugarplums and being home for the holidays...
I have it covered and cannot wait....
Okay, now I am expecting my invitation to your house for Christmas!! hehe. Love your color scheme and all those lovely pillows and I'd be happy in that guest room! Just saying....
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas theme and colors are pretty with the greens, Betsy. It's a soft and woodsy feeling, which I'm so familiar with living in the mountains. That little Owl is so cute. And your Santa's are charming. I like the one wearing plaid. All your desserts look amazing, especially that cherry yum-yum. And what a cute outfit you chose for this special season. I absolutely LOVE that picture at the end of the girl in red and the reindeer. Will have to keep that one. So many great ideas coming from your lovely blog, Betsy.
